Blue Christmas: A Service of Remembrance
We know how difficult the holidays can be after the loss of a loved one. Our family would like to personally invite you and your family for a time to acknowledge your loss and honor your loved one in a special way. We provide an intimate time of remembrance and reflection with beautiful music and a special candle lighting ceremony. Also, we honor lives lost by a special "In Memoriam" video.
If you would like your loved one to be included, we ask that you provide a high resolution image to us prior to November 1st each year. We want to be certain we have the perfect image of your loved one! Our Blue Christmas is the first Sunday of each December at 7pm at the United Methodist Church, 206 W. Carson Ave., Sublette, Kansas. We hope to see you in December!
Old Fashion Hymn Sing
Come join us for an “Old Fashion Hymn Sing!” Usually held on a Sunday evening in July of even-numbered years, pianists and organists from surrounding churches assist in making a joyful noise. We even bring in an extra grand piano so that we can have dueling pianos!
Singers are always needed for a community choir that meets at 5pm for a quick rehearsal. A “Homemade Pie Social” follows the service. This special evening of music is one of our favorite and most popular events. Everyone is invited!
