Mary Etta (Unger) McMinn, 91, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit. She was born on July 8, 1931 to Grace (Tucker) and Nile Unger in Ford, Kansas. She married Floyd Clarence Eveleigh in 1949 and to this union two children were born; Lonie and Lanetta. Floyd was killed in an airplane accident in 1952.\n\nMary met Terry Arthur McMinn during the summer of 1959. He was the father of three children; Mike, Mark, and Cindy. Mary and Terry combined their families and were united in marriage on April 2, 1960. They lived in Buffalo, Oklahoma until 1995 when they moved to Texas. Terry passed away on February 5, 2020 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mary moved to Satanta, Kansas to be close to her five sisters.\n\nShe is survived by her children, Lonie Eveleigh and wife Elizabeth Anne of Hilton Head, SC, Lanetta Wheatcroft and husband Larry of Rio Rancho, NM, Mike McMinn and wife Stacy of Sulphur Springs, TX, Mark McMinn and wife Susanne of Clyde Park, MT, and Cindy Smith and husband Johnnie of Conroe, TX; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nilene Cunningham, Betty Jo Young, Jenny Harrison, Donna Conner, and Georgia Lynn Mooree, all of Satanta, KS.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her parents, Nile and Grace Unger, her husband,Terry McMinn, a great-grandchild, Shadow Quesenbury; and a sister, Norma Gross.\n\nThere will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.\n\nMary and Terry will once again be united as they are laid to rest in Buffalo Oklahoma, where they began their lives together. A graveside service to honor both Mary and Terry McMinn will be Friday, May 12th, 1:00 p.m. at High Point Cemetery, just to the East of Buffalo, Oklahoma.\n\nCremation Services were entrusted to Weeks Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Sublette, Kansas. Terry passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at Carriage House Manor, in Sulphur Springs, TX.\n\nTerry McMinn was born on August 24, 1929 in Buffalo, Oklahoma to Charles McMinn and Selma Ring. He married Mary Unger McMinn on April 2nd, 1960 in Clayton, New Mexico. He worked as a mechanic at Oklahoma Highway Department for 20 years and retired in 1990. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Wichita, Kansas.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, Mary McMinn of Greenville, TX; children, Mike McMinn and wife, Stacy, of Sulphur Springs, TX, Mark McMinn and wife, Susanne, of Clyde Park, MT, Cindy McMinn McCoy of Greenville, TX, Lonie Eveleigh and wife Kay, of Ramona, CA, and Lanetta Eveleigh Wheatcroft and husband Larry, of Greenville, TX; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great great-grandchildren.\n\nTerry was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 daughter-in-law.
