Sublette, Kansas
Pamela Jeanette (Lloyd) Miller, 68, passed away early morning on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on July 12, 1954 to Naomi Lucille (Rayl) and Billy Dean Lloyd in Caney, Kansas. She met William Alan (Bill) Miller after moving to Sublette in 1966 and they were united in marriage on February 14, 1970.
Pam had a creative soul and was often found sewing or crafting. She could create just about anything and was known for her wreaths. In recent months, Pam had stayed busy putting her love into making the decorations for granddaughter Haley's wedding.
Spending time with her grandchildren brought Pam immense joy. Sleepovers, complete with a massive bowl of popcorn and a Disney movie, were an experience they all loved. As the grandchildren grew and became involved in their sports, they could count on Pam to be their loyal fan. Her family will treasure the laughter that took place when playing spoons, a game Pam loved but didn't always understand.
After raising her two sons, Pam went back to school to become a Medical Assistant and worked in Liberal for Dr. Fitzgerald for 19 years. Many of his patients remember Pam for her kindness and the way she would use humor to put them at ease. Family and friends alike will remember Pam for her huge heart; she loved big and cared deeply.
She was a member of the Sublette Church of the Nazarene, often sharing her gifts of creativity in the children’s department.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Miller, of the home; sons, Alan Miller and wife, Belinda, of Wichita, KS, and Timothy Miller and wife, April, of Scott City, KS; grandchildren, Haley Miller and fiancé Cheslie Cook of Parsons, KS, Eric Miller of Wichita, KS, Austin Miller of Scott City, KS, Jordan Miller of Cimarron, KS, and Aiden Miller of Scott City, KS; a great-grandson, Gatlin Cook; sisters, Donna Baker and husband, Ron, of Sublette, and Lois Bayless and husband, Greg, of Waldron AR; brothers, Billy Lloyd and wife, Robin, of Princetown, KS, and Gus Lloyd and wife, Vickie, of Claremore, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Naomi Lloyd.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, at Weeks Family Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.
Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, at the Sublette Church of the Nazarene with Brian Rixon officiating.
