They owned and operated Birney Construction where she took care of the office and the bookkeeping. Together, they took pride in raising their sons with the strong work ethics built through running a family business. While their sons were in high school, Wyna was honored to serve two terms on the USD #374 Board of Education. Life changed for the family when Russell passed away on July 2, 1988.\n\nA new chapter in Wyna's story began when she reconnected with Carl Lawrence Osbon, whom she had first met when he was a sixth grader, and they married on November 20, 1993 at the Satanta United Methodist Church. In recent years, she taught children that came to the Awana program on Wednesday evenings. She loved her church and church family.\n\nWyna could not drive past a Kentucky Fried Chicken without stopping! She loved the Colonel's chicken and knew the location of each restaurant in every town that they would travel through. She loved her KFC.\n\nIt was important to Wyna that her yard look nice and she loved to spend time planting flowers and vegetables, as well as maintaining the lawn. She enjoyed crocheting and cross-stitch, often making beloved keepsakes for each family member. Waterskiing was a favorite activity for Wyna and her family, leaving all with many wonderful memories of camping trips to Glen Elder State Park and Cedar Bluff Reservoir. She took pride in cooking meals for her family with an abundance of food and love. Wyna especially enjoyed preparing food for large family gatherings. Wyna loved her family and she was loved by many.
